Terms of Service

Welcome to Bridge Translation by alohaai LLC (“alohaai,” “we,” or “us”). By accessing or using this pilot program, you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Pilot Purpose and Duration
Bridge Translation is offered as a limited 4–8 week pilot program designed to evaluate real-time multilingual communication in K–12 classrooms.
- Participation is limited to approved partner schools.
- Pilot participation generally begins with 3–5 teachers per school and may expand to additional educators as capacity allows.
- Features, stability, and system performance may evolve throughout the pilot.
The purpose of this pilot is to test functionality, gather feedback, and determine readiness for broader deployment.
2. Account Access
Users must have an authorized access code, provided by alohaai, for account creation. Account authentication is managed through Firebase authentication. Unauthorized access, sharing, or distribution is prohibited.
Failure to comply with these Terms of Service may result in revoked access.
3. Acceptable Use
Users agree to use the platform solely for educational purposes. Prohibited activities include:
- Transmitting offensive or harmful content
- Reverse-engineering, copying, or modifying the system
- Disrupting or interfering with other users’ sessions
- Unauthorized or personal use of Bridge Translation
Use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which governs how data is collected, used, and protected.
4. User Responsibilities
Participants agree to:
- Follow school district policies and applicable laws
- Use the platform only in supervised educational environments
- Report technical issues, misuse, or security concerns
- Provide feedback to support system improvement (optional but encouraged)
Schools are responsible for ensuring all required permissions for pilot participation are obtained.
5. Intellectual Property
alohaai LLC retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Bridge Translation platform, including all software, system architecture, models, design elements, and underlying technology. This does not include user or school data.
Translated output is generated transiently by the system to facilitate real-time communication and does not alter ownership of the original classroom content.
Pilot participation grants a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the platform solely for classroom instruction during the pilot period.
No rights are granted to copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform.
6. No Warranty
The platform is provided “as is” during the pilot. alohaai is not liable for data loss, translation errors, or service interruptions.
7. Pilot Limitations and Service Reliability
Bridge Translation is provided “as is” during the pilot. Because the product is in early testing:
- System performance may vary
- Features may change without notice
- Uptime is not guaranteed
- Translations may contain inaccuracies
- Data may not persist beyond active sessions
- Temporary outages or interruptions may occur
Participants understand they are using a pre-release system.
8. Future Development
alohaai may introduce new features (including optional transcript storage or analytics) in future releases. Users will be informed and can consent to additional features.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- alohaai is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages
- alohaai is not responsible for issues resulting from translation inaccuracies, lost data, or service interruptions
- Users agree to rely on translations at their own discretion and verify important information when necessary
The platform is a pilot tool and should not be relied upon for critical or legal communications.
10. Feedback and Improvement
Users may provide feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or insights related to platform functionality. All such feedback becomes the property of alohaai and may be used to improve the platform without compensation.
Feedback does not include user data, classroom content, or student information.
11. Expansion of Access
As performance stabilizes, alohaai may expand the pilot within participating schools. Expansion may include:
- Adding additional teachers
- Broadening grade-level use
- Increasing the number of simultaneous sessions
All expansions depend on system capacity and school interest.
12. Termination
alohaai may suspend, restrict, or terminate access at any time if:
- These Terms are violated
- System security is threatened
- The pilot duration changes or concludes
Schools may also request deactivation of accounts or withdrawal from the pilot at any time.
13. Governing Law
alohaai is registered as an LLC in North Carolina. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
